Head Coach
Bill Brubaker
For
our 54th year, our Head Coach is Bill Brubaker (“Bru”).
This is his 27th year with the JBCY team. He swam
competitively for WVU and currently is head coach for Linsly. When
not coaching, Bru teaches history at Linsly.

Assistant Coach
Ed Garbash
Ed is a 6th year assistant. He swam for the
University of Akron. Coaching experience includes Belmont County
Summer Swim League, St. Clairsville High School and St. John’s High
School. In real life, he is a field supervisor for AEP.

Assistant Coach
Liz Kaczor
Liz
is an assistant coach who helps with the younger swimmers.
Liz has swam for the Wheeling YMCA for eight years and for Wheeling
Park for four years. Liz was Captain her Senior year. She has also
taught swim lessons for the YMCA and for Wheeling Park. She is
currently attending West Liberty State College as a Secondary
Education / Social Studies major. |

Assistant Coach
Rick Riedel
Rick
is in his 7th season with Y swimming. He swam for
Wheeling Park, the WHY swim team, Marshall and Pitt. Rick was also a
YMCA National qualifier. Rick’s other life keeps him near water. As
a Physical Therapy Assistant at Wheeling Hospital, he works in
Aquatic Therapy!

Assistant Coach
Jeani Humpe
Jeani is beginning her 5th year as an assistant
coach. She is in charge of our younger swimmers. Jeani is also a
coach for the Belmont County Summer Swim League and for Wheeling
Central Catholic High School. She currently is employed at the Lesco
Corporation.

Assistant Coach
Rick West
Rick
is heading up
the brand new “Cardinal South” division of our team. Returning to
his post as head coach of Wheeling Jesuit swimming, Rick has also
coached at Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. He
has assisted our team at various times throughout the past several
years. |

Glenn Artimez
Glenn was a
swimmer for John Marshall High School and was an OVAC champion.

Assistant Coach
Cindy West
Cindy has been involved
with our team for a few years now.
However, that was only as the parent of Sam and Rachel. In 2007, she
graciously volunteered to help with the younger group at the Y as a
coach. She brings a different perspective to our team and started
the
dry land “stability ball” workout for those younger swimmers. She
also
helped coach the newly formed Buckeye team in the summer of 2007 in
the Belmont County League. In her other life, she is working towards
a
degree in education and will begin student teaching at the beginning
of 2008. |
