Practice Changes: Practice 1/30 - Rick R's group at Linsly - due to Meet at WJU.
Practice 1/31 - Ed and Ernie at WJU - due to Senior night meet at Linsly.
Newark (2/4/12) meet material will be there and needed back by Wednesday 2/1/12.

1) Thursday 1/19/12 - Linsly groups at WJU - 6:00 pm.
2) Friday 1/20/12 - WJU swimmers at Linsly due to college meet.
3) Monday 1/23/12 - regular
4) Tuesday 1/24/12 NO PRACTICE - either group - both Linsly and WJU pools are being used for the OVAC qualifier.
5) Any Y parent who would like to help time at the Linsly site is welcome to volunteer
You would be needed from 4:45 - 7:30 pm.

Our Holiday party is Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 1-4. It is for immediate family and is held at Linsly. Everyone can swim and please bring a covered dish to share. We will provide chicken, ham, paper products and drinks. Please plan on attending the kids had a great time last year.
I would also like to thank all those who helped to make the invitational run smoothly. Everyone really stepped up to help when asked. Thanks again. Our great group of swim families really rose to run a great event.

- 1) No practice at WJU this evening. Belmont County Kick off meet.
2) On Friday Dec 9, 2011 - Linsly will have their annual Christmas program.
For practice - parents must drop off and park down at the field house.
We will be able to do limited set up Friday night as the gym will be in use.

There is a Level 1 Officials Clinic scheduled for Saturday, Oct 29, 2011 From 9-1 at Bishop Rosecrans HS in Zanesville, OH. If you are interested in going please let Coach Bru or Lynn Courts know ASAP maybe we can arrange carpooling. This maybe our only chance because we have been unable to find anyone willing to come to us to train. Also you must pre-register - the form is linked from the homepage of our website. [Note - please register ASAP so they have enough students, AND after you register, contact Amy Yevincy and she will pay your registration feed directly.]

Thank you for all of your help yesterday.
We put 96 swimmers in the water and I can name another dozen plus who were not there.
To the parents of the new members of the team, thank you for your understanding.
There are some glitches doing the first run through as there always are.
In trying to learn all of the new swimmers and getting the team picture done in a different fashion
sometimes there is an omission. Please do not hesitate to find me so that I may work to correct it.
We use three pools and do the best we possibly can do coordinate everything. It creates some
difficulties at times, but it beats have practices starting at 4:30 pm or running later than 8:00 for your children.
If you have questions about anything, stop me at the meet, e-mail or call. We want this to be a great experience for all of your children.

All shirts must be preordered and prepaid. Checks are NOT made out to CAJBCY. Payment needs to go to Sandy Marody and not put in fees box. See Sandy for that info. Deadline for ordering is October 3.

- JB Chambers warm-up time at Clarksburg on Sunday is 7:55 a.m. Please be there ready to go at 7:45. We will do the relays after warm-up. Directions are posted.

- Just a reminder all team t-shirt and sportswear orders are due by Friday, October 7, 2011. There is a chance we will do a second order, but have been informed prices may increase. These make great Christmas gifts and we can keep it a secret if need just mark it on the form.

Tuesday and Thursday will begin at the Y on October 11, 2011
Ernie's, Ed's, and Rick's groups will practice
Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday is the suit fitting and Parent's meeting.
Rick's group will go to Jesuit on Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday they will have to come back to Linsly as there is Alumni meet at Jesuit.

- The new 2011 - 2012 season is upon us.
Practice for all groups will begin on Monday September 19, 2011.
We have had 73 youngsters go through the introduction to competitive swimming program.
We are going to ask everyone to bring their returning swimmer to the same group that they ended the season with in March.
The swimmers who swam with Jeani and Cindy are to swim from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at Linsly.
The swimmers who swam with Ernie, Ed and the Ricks are to swim from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at Linsly.
We will begin reassigning groups when we split out the pools.
There will be a suit fitting and parent meeting during the week of the 26th.
Parente who want their children to swim US Swimming, need to be ready to renew or sign up by October 1, 2011.

The Parents Association is currently soliciting applications for the position of Treasurer. This is a paid position in the organization. Currently it is filled by Amy Yevincy but the upcoming 2011-2012 season will be her last. We would like to have her replacement trained in the HyTek Business Manager program used and procedures in general this season with the expectation of assuming full responsibilities upon Amy's departure as treasurer.

Serge and Sarah will ave the evenings.
2) The week of free swims is September 12, 2011.
There will be a short practice after the sessions for those who help with the lessons.
3) First official fall practice the week of 9/19.
